Here is who we are

OUR WORK

Floresta Tanzania is widely recognized for its unique approaches of entry to new communities and delivery of it services.  We use watershed approach as we plan, implement and expand in to new communities.   Floresta has set up Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA) groups in multiple villages in its area of operation. We use these groups as a platform for conducting various trainings. Through Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA) groups the beneficiaries have been educated in organic farming, use of natural pesticide, animal husbandry, sustainable agricultural, environmental conservation, etc.  Floresta has also supported water tanks construction, tree nurseries establishment and introduction of energy saving stoves in schools.

Our activities:-

  • Formation of Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA) groups.
  • Environmental Conservation.
  • Spiritual Renewal and Leadership training.
  • Agriculture and Environment Training.
  • Economic Development.

How

WE WORK

We equip families to change their circumstances, provide for their children, and live with God-given hope and dignity.

Stopping the cycle of poverty and deforestation through tree planting and use of energy efficient stove.

Helping the poorest of the poor feed their families sustainably, we have worked with Seep Network and the other organization to address the issue of rural finance and food security.

Empowering families to build financial security through savings-led microfinance and facilitate distribution of solar lights to VSLA Members as well as non VSLA members.

Supporting local churches in their outreach and discipleship efforts.

Extreme poverty and the environment are not two separate issues.

A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT IS VITAL TO A COMMUNITY’S ABILITY TO FIGHT POVERTY.
