YEAR 7

ENVIRONMENTAL RESTORATION

Assessment of Graduation readiness of groups
The assessment shall focus on the level of empowerment attained, agreements and integration of sectors in order to ensure higher likelihood of graduation readiness and sustainable autonomous development in partnering groups, communities, churches and watersheds.

SPIRITUAL RENEWAL

Assessment and follow up
The assessment shall focus on the level of empowerment attained in order to ensure higher likelihood of graduation readiness and sustainable autonomous development in partnering groups, communities, churches and watersheds.

ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT

Business management & entrepreneurship
Participants are taught about Entrepreneurship skills how to develop a business idea, how to choose a project, market plan and how to deal with competition in the market.

YEAR 8

ENVIRONMENTAL RESTORATION

Sustainability Assessment
Year 8 will constitute of refresher training of Unit 1-6 less, supervisory characterized by less staff time and follow up, technical backstopping to groups and individual farmers.

Impact measurement of working at watershed level including volume of water, taste of water, presence of indigenous plant animals and ecosystem restoration in general.

SPIRITUAL RENEWAL

Impact assessment.
Assessment will focus on church stewardship in conserving Gods creation, preparation of creation day, how church rise awareness to the community on conserving Gods creation, how church emphasize community to conserve environmental and reserve areas.

Participants are taught about Entrepreneurship skills how to develop a business idea, how to choose a project, market plan and how to deal with competition in the market

YEAR 9

ENVIRONMENTAL RESTORATION

Graduation
Develop List of graduation ready groups. These are vsla groups that have been working with Floresta for the past Nine years and they can now stand on their own.

SPIRITUAL RENEWAL

Graduation
Identification of institutions which have been working with Floresta and obtained all train for the past nine years and they can now stand on their own.

ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT

Graduation
Floresta TZ organizes a day long group awards event for all participants country-wide. These events require a lot of planning. Floresta invites all beneficiaries, local government officials and leaders, as well as potential future partners, to attend, as a way of thanking participants and of spreading information about Floresta TZ’s work. Awards are given out to outstanding participants, based off of M&E done throughout the year. Scoring is based off of participation in VSLA groups and environmental restoration activities. This is the time for graduating mature Vsla group.
