Floresta Tanzania, through the Saseni Sub-watershed team, participated in the Agriculture and Sports Festival held in Lugulu Village, Same District, on 19.05.2026. The engagement formed part of the organization’s ongoing efforts to promote sustainable agriculture and strengthen community collaboration.
During the event, the team successfully facilitated training sessions on soil health management, mixed farming systems, spice crop production, and avocado cultivation. These sessions aimed at enhancing farmers’ knowledge and encouraging the adoption of improved and sustainable agricultural practices.
Beyond the technical training, the team also joined community members in a friendly football match between staff and residents of Lugulu Village. The match fostered unity, teamwork, and stronger social ties between Floresta Tanzania staff and the local community.
The festival provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, capacity building, and reinforcing Floresta Tanzania’s commitment to community-driven agricultural development.
