Vegetable Seed Production and Handling
Flora and Fauna Restoration System Tanzania (FLORESTA) is a non-governmental organization based in Kilimanjaro Region. The organization’s mission is to improve the lives of poor rural communities by promoting productivity, increasing income, improving nutrition, and encouraging environmental conservation. For more than 15 years, FLORESTA has worked across rural Tanzania addressing key challenges related to food security and nutrition, faith integration with environmental stewardship, holistic watershed management, diversification of rural livelihoods, and access to community-based financial services.
As part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen staff capacity and improve agricultural productivity, FLORESTA intends to conduct a Vegetable Seed Production and Handling Capacity Building Training. This training is intended to equip nine staffs with technical knowledge and practical skills in seed production, selection, handling, and storage to ensure quality and sustainable vegetable production.
The training will also enhance staff competence in guiding farmer groups on improved seed technologies, promoting food security, increasing household income, and advancing FLORESTA’s mission of healing both land and people.
